Sodium Fulvate Flakes II (Type II)
Type II — Soil-First Fulvate, 100% Soluble
Every lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis stating actual tested values.
Product Overview
Sodium Fulvate is the sodium salt of fulvic acid, extracted from leonardite-sourced humic substances. Fulvic acid is the short-chain, low-molecular-weight fraction of humus, so it moves through leaf and root cuticle within hours and chelates nutrients tightly. Sodium fulvate is highly water soluble and is used as a foliar biostimulant, a micronutrient chelate, an aquaculture water aid and a feed additive.
Sodium Fulvate Flakes II (Type II) carries 55% humic acid and 25% fulvic acid on a dry basis with 100% water solubility. Type II shifts the balance toward the humic fraction, so it conditions soil and chelates nutrients more strongly while still giving the fastuptake fulvic benefit — and it dissolves completely with no residue.
Choose Type II when the soil-conditioning and chelation role matters more than maximum fulvic load, and when you need a fully clear solution for drip or foliar.
Key Benefits
55% humic acid
A stronger soil-conditioning and chelation fraction than Type I.
25% fulvic acid
Keeps the fast foliar/root uptake benefit of fulvic acid.
100% water soluble
Dissolves completely with no residue — no filtration, no clogged drippers.
Soil-first balance
Built for conditioning and chelation where humic load leads.
Chelates micronutrients
Binds Fe, Zn, Mn and Cu tightly, keeping them available to the plant.
COA on every batch
Each lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis stating tested fulvic, humic, solubility and pH.
Technical Specification
| Parameter | Specification | Test standard |
|---|---|---|
| Appearance | Yellow-brown flakes | Visual inspection |
| Humic acid (dry basis) | ≥ 55% | HG/T 3278-2011 |
| Fulvic acid (dry basis) | ≥ 25% | HG/T 5334-2018 |
| Water solubility (dry basis) | 100% | HG/T 3278-2018 |
| Moisture | ≤ 13% | GB/T 8576 |
| pH (1:100) | 9.0 – 10.0 | GB/T 33804-2017 |
Specification values are guaranteed minimums on a dry basis, taken from the batch Certificate of Analysis and tested against the stated Chinese industry standards. Every shipment travels with its own COA stating the tested values.

Form: yellow-brown flakes, low-dust and free-flowing. The 100%-soluble Type II grade.
In water: wets out and disperses completely within seconds under light agitation — no residue, no filter step.
Handling: low dust, standard PPE recommended during bulk handling.
How the sodium fulvate types compare
| Grade | Form | Humic acid | Fulvic acid | Water solubility | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sodium Fulvate Flakes I (Type I) | Flakes | ≥ 50% | ≥ 50% | ≥ 95% | Balanced foliar & chelate |
| Sodium Fulvate Flakes II (Type II) (this product) | Flakes | ≥ 55% | ≥ 25% | 100% | Soil-first, fully soluble |
Type I is balanced (50/50); Type II is soil-first (55% humic, 25% fulvic) and fully soluble. Both are alkaline (pH 9–10).
Applications & Dosage
Soil-conditioning fulvate for fertigation, foliar and soluble blends.
| Application | How to use | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| Soil conditioning / fertigation | Pre-dissolve and meter into the line; conditions soil and chelates nutrients. | 0.5–1.0 kg/mu |
| Foliar spray | Dilute 1:1000–1:1500 and spray in the cool part of the day. | 0.2–0.5 kg/mu |
| Micronutrient chelate | Use as the fulvate base of a chelated trace-element formula. | 5–10% of formula |
| Aquaculture water | Dissolve and spread in ponds to clarify water. | 1–2 kg/1000 m³ |
Packaging & Storage
| Pack size | Description |
|---|---|
| 25 kg | Woven bag with inner PE liner |
| 1000–1100 kg | Jumbo bag with discharge spout |
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. The flakes are stable for 2 years; reseal opened bags to keep moisture low.

Frequently Asked Questions
Type II or Type I?
Type II is soil-first — 55% humic and 25% fulvic, 100% soluble. Type I is balanced (50/50) with 95% solubility. Pick Type II when humic load and a clear solution lead.
Is it really 100% soluble?
Yes — dissolves completely with light agitation. Ideal for drip, foliar and retail soluble packs.
Will it clog drip lines?
No — fully dissolved, inject through the normal fertilizer injector and filter as usual.
Can it chelate micronutrients?
Yes — it binds Fe, Zn, Mn and Cu tightly, keeping them available; ideal as the base of a chelated formula.
Do you provide a COA per batch?
Yes — tested fulvic acid, humic acid, solubility, moisture and pH.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
Stock item. MOQ one pallet; 7–15 days ex-works. Private-label printing available.
