Product Overview

Potassium Humate Round Granule is produced on a disc granulator to give a genuinely spherical 2–4 mm granule at 40% minimum humic acid, 2–5% K₂O and 80% minimum water solubility.

Roundness is the whole point of this grade, and it buys three things. Uniform spreading — a true sphere flows consistently through a spinner or pneumatic spreader, giving an even distribution pattern, where an irregular particle gives streaks. Clean blending — the sphere matches the size band of standard granular NPK, so it stays distributed rather than segregating. And appearance — a uniform round black granule looks like a finished fertiliser rather than a raw material, which matters in a retail or branded product.

The specification is close to our Compacted Granules grade. The difference is shape and the process behind it: disc granulation with a binder produces the sphere, roller compaction without a binder produces a harder oval. Choose Round Granule where roundness, uniformity and presentation matter; choose Compacted where hardness and blend interlock matter more.

Potassium Humate Round Granule is a base-fertilizer grade — drilled, broadcast or blended, releasing its humic fraction into soil moisture rather than dissolving in a tank.

Key Benefits

True spherical granule for even spreading

A real sphere flows consistently through a spreader and gives an even pattern. Irregular particles bridge and streak, and the grower sees it in the crop.

Matches granular NPK sizing

At 2–4 mm the granule sits in the same size band as standard MAP, DAP and urea, so it stays distributed through blending and transport rather than segregating out.

40% humic acid, 80% soluble

A solid granular analysis. Most of the humic fraction releases into soil moisture, with a small insoluble residue that is normal for a granular grade.

Uniform, premium appearance

Consistent round black granules look like a finished fertiliser. Useful for branded and bagged product where appearance carries value.

Low dust and clean handling

Essentially dust-free. Better working conditions and no product lost to wind at the spreader.

Handles the full logistics chain

Survives blending, bagging, palletising and spreading without breaking down into fines under normal handling.

Form & Solubility

Form: uniform black spherical granules, 2–4 mm, produced on a disc granulator. Smooth, round, matte to slightly glossy. Dust-free.

In water: 80% minimum soluble. The granule softens, breaks down and releases most of its humic fraction, leaving a small residue. This is a soil-application grade — if your route is a tank, use a fully soluble powder or flake.

Hardness: adequate for normal handling — blending, bagging, conveying, spreading. If your line is particularly aggressive, or you are blending with urea, the Compacted Granules grade is harder and the better choice.

In the blender: the sphere matches granular NPK closely in size, so distribution through the blend is good.

Honest note: this is a soil grade, not a dissolving grade — at 80% solubility about a fifth of the material stays as an insoluble residue, which is fine in soil and a problem through a filter. It is also a standard-hardness granule: if your line is aggressive or you are blending with urea, the Compacted Granules grade is harder and the better buy. Avoid direct seed contact when drilling.

Soluble grades (powder, flakes, crystal) dissolve for fertigation, foliar and liquid production. Granular grades (compacted, round) are built for soil placement, blending and mechanised sowing. Every grade ships with a batch COA and the same heavy-metal declaration (Pb, As, Hg, Cd, Cr below detection, GB 18877).

Storage: Store under cover in a cool, dry, ventilated place, on pallets and off bare concrete. At up to 20% moisture, the granule will absorb more if it sits on a damp floor. Sustained wetting softens and consolidates the granules into a mass, which does not destroy the humic acid but makes the material unspreadable. Keep it dry and it handles well for years. Shelf life: 24 months in original, unopened packaging.

Custom packaging, private-label printing and OEM specifications are available on request. Packaging photos are available in the product gallery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Round Granule or Compacted Granules — which one?

The specification is close: both 2–4 mm, 40% humic acid, 2–5% K₂O, 80% solubility. Round Granule is disc-granulated into a true sphere using a binder — better for spread uniformity and appearance. Compacted is roller-compressed into a harder oval with no binder — better for hard handling and blend interlock. If presentation and even spreading are your priorities, buy round; if hardness and rough handling are, buy compacted.

Can it be used through drip irrigation?

It can be dissolved, diluted 500–800 times, filtered and applied by root irrigation, which is a listed use. But if fertigation is your main route, a fully soluble powder or flake is the right product — a granular grade will always carry some residue and is not designed for fine emitters.

Will it segregate when blended with NPK?

Less than an irregular particle will, because the 2–4 mm sphere sits in the same size band as standard granular NPK. That said, every blend line behaves differently — run a segregation test on your own equipment before committing to a large run. We can supply a sample for that trial.

Is direct contact with seed safe?

Avoid it. Drill so the granule mixes into soil at 10–15 cm depth rather than sitting with the seed. The material is alkaline at pH 9.0–10.0, and concentrated humate against seed can affect germination. This is standard practice for any humic base fertilizer, not a peculiarity of this grade.

What happens to the 20% that is not soluble?

It remains as a fine insoluble humic residue in the soil. It is not a problem — insoluble humic material is a legitimate soil amendment in its own right and continues to contribute to soil organic matter and structure. It is only a problem if you put it through a filter or an emitter, which is why this is a soil grade.
