Product Overview

Sodium Humate is the sodium salt of humic acid, produced by alkaline extraction of leonardite-sourced humic acid. The sodium form is highly water soluble, so it dissolves completely and goes to work fast. It is used worldwide as a soil conditioner and nutrient chelate in agriculture, a water-purifying and immunity aid in aquaculture and animal feed, and a binder in drilling fluids and ceramics.

40% Sodium Humate Big Flakes carries 40% humic acid on a dry basis with 90% water solubility and a low dust flake form. The large flakes wet out and disperse quickly, so they are easy to dissolve for liquid use yet cleaner to handle than powder.

Choose this grade when you want faster dissolution than the granule but still low dust at the hopper — for liquid humate production, pond treatment and blends where a 40% humic guarantee is the target.

Key Benefits

40% humic acid

A mid-range humic guarantee for soil, feed and aquaculture use.

90% water soluble

Dissolves quickly with only a small residue — good for liquid humate and pond use.

Low-dust flakes

Big flakes handle cleaner than powder at the intake.

Fast wetting

Wets out and disperses in seconds under light agitation.

Multi-use

Soil conditioner, feed additive and aquaculture water-purifying aid.

COA on every batch

Each lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis stating tested humic acid, solubility and pH.

Form & Solubility

Form: black big flakes, low-dust and free-flowing. Large surface area means fast wetting.

In water: wets out on contact and disperses within seconds under light agitation. Add onto moving water to avoid a surface crust.

Handling: low dust, but standard PPE recommended during bulk handling.

Sodium humate is the highly water-soluble sodium salt of leonardite humic acid — for soil, feed, aquaculture and industry.

Higher humic % means more active per kilo; solubility and form decide handling and dissolution. All grades are alkaline (pH 9–10).

Frequently Asked Questions

Flakes or powder?

Flakes dissolve fast and dust less; powder dissolves fastest and blends finest. Pick flakes when dust control matters.

Is it fully soluble?

Around 90% on a dry basis — a small residue is normal. Pre-dissolve and filter for a clear solution.

Can it go in ponds?

Yes — dissolve and spread; it binds ammonia and clarifies water. Dose by pond volume.

What is the organic matter content?

≥ 70% on a dry basis alongside the 40% humic acid guarantee.

Do you provide a COA per batch?

Yes — tested humic acid, organic matter, solubility, moisture and pH.

What is the minimum order and lead time?

Stock item. MOQ one pallet; 7–15 days ex-works. Private-label printing available.
