Product Overview

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and, in free form, the most readily absorbed nitrogen source a plant or an animal can take up. JINGFENG’s amino acid range is produced from plant protein (soybean) or animal protein by acid or enzymatic hydrolysis, which breaks the protein chain down into free amino acids, short peptides and water-soluble nitrogen. The result is a 100% water-soluble input used as a foliar and fertigation biostimulant, a chelating agent for trace elements, and a feed-grade protein source.

45% Hydrolyzed Amino Acid Powder is the high-nitrogen grade of our acid-hydrolysate range. Protein is broken down by acid hydrolysis into free amino acids, short peptides and water-soluble nitrogen, and the result is a light yellow powder that guarantees ≥ 45% total amino acids with ≥ 40% in the free form — the fraction a leaf or a root takes up without any further breakdown step.

What separates it from the lower grades is the nitrogen: ≥ 17% total nitrogen with ≥ 8% as amino nitrogen. That makes it as much a nitrogen source as a biostimulant, which is why it is the grade formulators reach for when a blend has to reach a nitrogen number from an organic source.

It is 100% water soluble, so it goes straight into a spray tank, a drip line or a hydroponic feed, and it is used both as a finished field input and as the amino acid backbone of liquid fertiliser and biostimulant formulations.

Key Benefits

≥ 45.0% total amino acids

A guaranteed floor of ≥ 45.0%, with ≥ 40.0% in the free form that plants and animals absorb directly.

Dissolves completely

100% water soluble with no residue, so it can go straight into the spray tank or through a drip line.

High free amino acid share

A large part of the load is in the free form, which plants and animals absorb without further breakdown.

Low chloride option

Low-chloride grades avoid salt burn on chloride-sensitive crops and keep the salt load down in feed rations.

Blend-friendly

A free-flowing powder that disperses evenly into NPK, organic fertilizer and feed premixes, even at low inclusion rates.

COA on every batch

Each lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis stating the tested total amino acids, free amino acids, total nitrogen, chloride and heavy metals against the stated Chinese industry standards.

Form & Solubility

Form: fine, free-flowing powder with low dust, easy to weigh out by the bag and to blend into dry mixes.

In water: 100% water soluble. It wets out quickly and dissolves cleanly under light agitation, leaving no residue to block filters, spray nozzles or drip lines.

Handling: use standard dust protection when handling bulk. Reseal opened bags to keep moisture out.

Why glycine leads the profile. Glycine sits at around 13.6% of the hydrolysate — the single largest amino acid in the mix. It is the smallest amino acid there is, it is a building block of chlorophyll, and it is the ligand both plants and formulators use to hold metal ions in solution. That is what lets this grade work as a straight biostimulant and as the chelating base for trace-element formulations.

How to mix it. Dissolve the powder in water first, then bring the rest of the tank in under agitation. Run a 100 mL jar test before the first production batch, and avoid strong alkali above pH 8.

All grades are 100% water soluble and are hydrolysed from plant- or animal-source protein. Higher grades carry a larger free amino acid share, so less product is needed per hectare for the same response.

Applications & Dosage

For foliar and fertigation programmes where nitrogen and amino acids have to arrive together, and as a raw material for liquid formulations, hydroponics and dry blends. Two to three foliar applications per growth cycle is the usual starting point; stress recovery calls for 1.0 to 2.0 g/L as a foliar spray.

ApplicationHow to useRate
Foliar sprayDissolve first, then spray the leaf evenly, front and back, in the cool part of the day.0.5 – 1.5 g/L
Drip / fertigationPre-dissolve and meter into the irrigation line; the high analysis keeps the dose per hectare low.2.5 – 7.5 kg/ha
Hydroponics and soillessAdd to the nutrient solution; start at the lower end and watch the EC.50 – 150 ppm
Seed soaking and root dipSoak seed or dip seedling roots in the dilute solution before sowing or transplanting.0.2 – 0.5 g/L
Liquid fertiliser productionUse as the amino acid and organic nitrogen backbone of a finished liquid formulation.20 – 30% of dry weight
Dry blending and coatingBlend into granular NPK or use as a coating to add a biostimulant fraction.2 – 5% by weight

Frequently Asked Questions

What is it made from?

It is hydrolysed from animal-source protein by the acid route. If your market, your label or your certification body requires a plant-source declaration, use our 50%, 70% or 80% powders instead — those are hydrolysed from soybean protein. Tell us which your market needs and we will quote the matching grade.

How is this different from your 30% amino acid powder?

Roughly half again the concentration: ≥ 45% total amino acids against ≥ 30%, and ≥ 17% total nitrogen against ≥ 7%. In practice you use 30 to 50% less product by weight for the same agronomic effect, which is what makes it the choice for concentration-sensitive formulations and for programmes where freight and handling cost matter.

Can I substitute it one-for-one for a 30% powder?

No. Reduce the rate to match the concentration difference — if a programme used 1 kg of a 30% powder, start at roughly 0.6 to 0.7 kg of this grade — and confirm on a small area first.

What does the high glycine content actually do?

Glycine is a building block of chlorophyll and a natural chelating ligand. High glycine means better chlorophyll synthesis and greener, more efficient leaves, and it is also why this grade is a good base for holding trace elements in solution.

Is it suitable for liquid fertiliser production?

Yes — that is one of its two main uses. It is typically included at 20 to 30% of the dry weight of a finished liquid formulation, where it supplies both the amino acid fraction and part of the nitrogen guarantee.

Is it suitable for organic farming?

Hydrolysed protein of natural origin is widely accepted in organic programmes, but the route and the raw material matter to certifiers. Check with your certification body and ask us for the input list and the technical data sheet.

Can I mix it with pesticides?

It is compatible with most neutral and weakly acidic products. Because it is concentrated and slightly acidic, run a 100 mL jar test before any large tank mix, especially with alkaline products.

How is it packed and what is the shelf life?

Standard pack is a 20 kg or 25 kg bag with inner liner, with 1 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg foil bags for trials and 1000 kg jumbo bags for bulk. Shelf life is over two years when stored cool, dry and sealed; reseal opened bags, since the powder picks up moisture.
