50% Hydrolyzed Amino Acid Powder
The Cost-Effective All-Rounder — Plant-Source Amino Acids Over Large Areas
Every lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis stating tested total amino acids, free amino acids, total nitrogen and chloride.
Product Overview
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and, in free form, the most readily absorbed nitrogen source a plant or an animal can take up. JINGFENG’s amino acid range is produced from plant protein (soybean) or animal protein by acid or enzymatic hydrolysis, which breaks the protein chain down into free amino acids, short peptides and water-soluble nitrogen. The result is a 100% water-soluble input used as a foliar and fertigation biostimulant, a chelating agent for trace elements, and a feed-grade protein source.
50% Hydrolyzed Amino Acid Powder is the volume grade of our plant-source amino acid range — the one to quote when the amino acid load has to go on every pass over a large area rather than only at key growth stages. The grade name refers to the typical analysis; the guaranteed floor on the specification is ≥ 45% total amino acids with ≥ 40% in the free form and ≥ 15% total nitrogen, and the powder is 100% water soluble.
It is hydrolysed from plant protein, which is what makes it the grade to offer when the buyer needs a non-animal origin: organic programmes, vegan-friendly supply chains, and markets with sourcing restrictions on animal-derived inputs.
Because the concentration is lower than our 60% to 90% grades, the rate per hectare is higher — but so is the cost efficiency per hectare on field crops, vegetables and orchard blocks where the response is wanted over the whole season.
Key Benefits
≥ 45% total amino acids
A guaranteed floor of ≥ 45.0% total with ≥ 40.0% in the free form — the plant-source grade that covers the largest area per unit of cost.
Dissolves completely
100% water soluble with no residue, so it can go straight into the spray tank or through a drip line.
High free amino acid share
A large part of the load is in the free form, which plants and animals absorb without further breakdown.
Low chloride option
Low-chloride grades avoid salt burn on chloride-sensitive crops and keep the salt load down in feed rations.
Blend-friendly
A free-flowing powder that disperses evenly into NPK, organic fertilizer and feed premixes, even at low inclusion rates.
COA on every batch
Each lot ships with a Certificate of Analysis stating the tested total amino acids, free amino acids, total nitrogen, chloride and heavy metals against the stated Chinese industry standards.

Form: fine, free-flowing powder with low dust, easy to weigh out by the bag and to blend into dry mixes.
In water: 100% water soluble. It wets out quickly and dissolves cleanly under light agitation, leaving no residue to block filters, spray nozzles or drip lines.
Handling: use standard dust protection when handling bulk. Reseal opened bags to keep moisture out.
In water: 100% water soluble. It wets out quickly under light agitation and leaves no residue to block filters, nozzles or drippers — which is also why it is the grade most customers use to make their own liquid amino acid fertiliser on site.
Hygroscopic: the powder draws moisture from the air. Reseal the bag straight after weighing out and keep it dry. If a bag has caked, crumble the cake back to powder — caking does not change the analysis or the absorption.
Mixing: compatible with most water-soluble NPK and with neutral to weakly acidic pesticides. Do not mix with strongly alkaline material above pH 8, and run a 100 mL jar test before the first full batch.
How the amino acid grades compare
| Grade | Form | Total amino acid | Free amino acid | Total nitrogen | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Salt-Free Amino Acid Liquid 30% | Liquid | ≥ 300 g/L | — | ≥ 7.0% | Chloride-sensitive crops; foliar and drip |
| 50% Hydrolyzed Amino Acid Powder (this product) | Powder | ≥ 45.0% | ≥ 40.0% | ≥ 15.0% | Cost-efficient foliar and fertigation over large areas |
| 50% Enzymatic Amino Acid Liquid | Liquid | ≥ 500 g/L | 20 – 30 g/L | — | Fertigation and foliar programmes, no dissolving step |
| 60% Hydrolyzed Amino Acid Powder | Powder | ≥ 60.0% | ≥ 55.0% | ≥ 12.0% | General-purpose foliar, drip and flushing |
| 80% Hydrolyzed Amino Acid Powder — Tank-Mix | Powder | ≥ 80.0% | ≥ 75.0% | ≥ 12.5% | Liquid NPK and trace-element compounding |
| 80% Amino Acid Powder — Standard | Powder | ≥ 80.0% | ≥ 75.0% | ≥ 12.5% | Feed premixes, dry blends, straight foliar and soil |
| 90% Hydrolyzed Amino Acid Powder | Powder | ≥ 90.0% | ≥ 85.0% | ≥ 15.0% organic N | Premium agriculture, feed and cosmetics |
| 90% Enzymatic Amino Acid Powder | Powder | ≥ 90.0% | ≥ 65.0% | ≥ 16.0% | Peptide-rich; organic and cosmetic specifications |
All grades are 100% water soluble and are hydrolysed from plant-source protein. Higher grades carry a larger free amino acid share, so less product is needed per hectare for the same response.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the guaranteed value 45% when the product is called a 50% powder?
“50%” is the grade name and reflects the typical analysis of the material. What we guarantee on every batch is the floor in the specification table: ≥ 45.0% total amino acids, ≥ 40.0% free amino acids and ≥ 15.0% total nitrogen. Every lot is tested against those floors and ships with its own COA.
What is the advantage of a plant-source amino acid?
Plant source is the preferred option where the buyer needs a non-animal origin — organic certification, vegan-friendly supply chains, religious or cultural requirements, and markets that restrict animal-derived inputs. It also carries a complementary amino acid profile, notably a higher glutamic acid share, and removes any question of animal disease transmission.
Is it suitable for certified organic farming?
Yes, when produced from certified plant material and by an approved hydrolysis route it is widely accepted by major organic certifiers. Rules differ by market and certifier, so confirm with your own certification body and ask us for the input documentation you need.
How does the rate compare with lower-concentration powders?
At over 45% amino acids the rate is typically 20–30% lower by weight than for a 30–40% amino acid powder for the same agronomic effect. Start from the dilution range in the application table and adjust to your crop, water volume and programme.
Can it be used in fertigation with hard water?
Yes, compatibility is good, but as with any concentrated input it is worth running a jar test with your own water and fertiliser mix before the first full batch so you can see there is no precipitation.
How does it help plants under stress?
The free amino acid fraction includes proline, an osmoprotectant, and glutamic acid, a central compound in nitrogen metabolism. Together they help the plant hold cell function and water status through drought, heat, cold and salinity, and recover faster afterwards.
Is it safe on seedlings and sensitive crops?
Yes, at the recommended dilution it is safe from delicate seedlings through to mature fruit trees. For seed soaking use the weak end of the range and test a small area first on a crop you have not treated before.
Can I make a liquid fertiliser from this powder?
Yes. At 100% water solubility it is the usual choice for on-farm liquid formulation — dissolve the required amount in water and it is ready to use, with no residue to filter out.
Does the product have an odour?
It has a mild, characteristic smell that is normal for a plant protein hydrolysate. There are no artificial masking agents in the formulation.
How is it packed and what is the minimum order?
Standard pack is a 20 kg or 25 kg bag with inner liner, with 1 kg and 10 kg options for sampling and small trials. MOQ one pallet; 7–15 days ex-works. Private-label printing and custom blends are available on request.
